With any service business, it’s always prudent to get to know the company, read reviews, and ask questions to make sure they are the right company to get the job done. We have put together a few questions we think you should always ask a heating and air conditioning company before using them for the first time. If you have any other questions for us, or if you would like to schedule an appointment—please feel free to give us a call at (770) 942-2873 or contact us online. We would be happy to answer any questions you have and to help ensure your heating and air conditioning equipment is in the best shape all year-round.
- Do you have a permanent business location? This is important for many reasons. You want to ensure that you will not be scammed by a shady contractor. Note, we are not calling individual contractors shady, but as in any business, there are those that will take advantage of others. Protect yourself by getting more information on the business you hire. You can start with making sure they have a valid, permanent business address.
- Are your technicians licensed and insured? It’s in your best interest to hire a company whose technicians are licensed and insured. This means that they are qualified and have the experience needed to properly repair or replace your equipment. Technicians should also be insured in the occurrence that something happens on your property so you will not be held accountable for that.
- How long have you been in this business? The longevity of a company speaks volumes about the quality of service and products they boast. We believe in giving everyone a chance, but when you see a company that has been around for 30+ years, with a solid reputation in the community, you know you have found a great place to start.
- What are your customers saying about you? We really think this is one of the most important questions for any type of business that provides goods or services to consumers. In this digital age, it has become the norm to check out the reviews of a service company before hiring them. If you are not doing that, you are missing out on the opportunity to weed out businesses that appear to have a less than stellar reputation in the community. Take the extra time and take a look at what their customers are saying about the products and services offered.
We hope this list of questions will help when you are getting ready to hire a heating and air conditioning company. If you would like to speak with Anchor Heating & Air Conditioning about who we are as a local company, or the services and products we offer—give us a call at 770-920-2873 or contact us online.
